The Space

The specifics. A house and independent cottage on the westside of Colorado Springs, in Old Colorado City, close to Manitou Springs and on the southeast corner of Garden of the Gods Park. Offering a large, open lot with red-rock formations walling off your private spaces, perched on a knoll offering 360° views, a hot tub backed by rock and evergreen trees, multiple fire-pits with host-supplied wood. Exceptional Colorado outdoor living—covered. Inside. 3 well-appointed, open bedrooms in the main house, 2 of which offer unobstructed views of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” from the upper level. One king bed, one queen. Another sleeping space in the separate studio cottage, with queen-bed. An additional queen bed in the bedroom in the lower-level of the main house. Everything modern, everything clean, crisp and cared-for. 3 bathrooms total—2 in the main house, 1 in the cottage. Tile. Granite. Basins. Stainless steel. Within the main house there are 2 dens. The first, upstairs, is open to the modern kitchen presenting custom cabinetry, warm Edison lighting and center island complete with a separate prep-sink. This combined space is open and bright, also offering beautiful mountain views from the large windows. An original stucco and tile wood-burning fireplace dominates this room, along with a unique, southwestern aesthetic. Wood. Stone. Stainless steel and leather. The downstairs den is comfortable and functional, with plenty of seating around the large flat-panel television. The third bedroom of the main house is located here, though this is a lower-level, not a basement. For convenience, a full laundry is located here for guest use. Also a separate bathroom. Also access to the garage complete with a wet and dry sauna. Cedar. Leather. Tile & antler. Some disclaimers. The garage is low—you can’t park your truck in it. But there’s a driveway with plenty of space for that. Pets are not allowed. And although the property is private and spacious, please respect the peace and privacy of other area residents who have chosen to reside in such a special place for the same reasons that you will.
